The instructions are two lines, cold gentle machine wash and hang! Did exactly that four times, the lace neckline still sits perfectly. My last long slip demanded hand washing in whispers and still died. This one is beautiful AND low maintenance, a combination I had stopped believing in.

bought it before our anniversary weekend and the sizing needed thought, i sit between M and L! went L on the size guides advice and the high waist lands exactly where it should. the between-sizes rule here is go up, the a-line forgives extra room but not tightness. the deep v is deep, know that. open back tie took two tries to master. worth every step of the learning curve

After three cool washes, the mauve still matches the first photo I took in June. I didnt soak it, just rinsed it after humid nights and hung it inside. No dye came onto my pale towel. Recommend it.

the honest note, the pale mauve goes slightly see through in front of bright windows. i learned this from my roommate not from the mirror. its a bedroom piece or a robe-over piece in daylight, at night by lamp light its perfect and the open back does its whole dramatic thing. length is glorious, the a-line means walking is graceful instead of penguin steps. worth the $52 with the caveat above.

the cool touch fabric starts actually cold... in a 72 degree room with the fan on this is the exact right sleep temperature. warms to neutral eventually like everything does.
A maxi that sleeps cooler than my short cotton nightshirt makes no sense on paper and yet. The open back is doing the thermodynamics if you want the theory. If you run hot but love long gowns this solves your specific problem.

went XL per the measurements and the bust area has more room than chest to fill it... the skirt fits lovely which makes the gaping top sadder. exchanging for L.
An XL chest with room to spare means our grading between L and XL jumped too far. The exchange is on us, and thank you for being specific enough that our pattern maker can act on it.
The back tie came pressed with a stubborn crease that hasnt hung out in two weeks! Ironing a skinny tie is fiddly. Gown itself is lovely.
A crease that survives two weeks of hanging was pressed in at packing, that's our fault. Low iron through a cotton cloth will take it out in one pass. Packing flat instead of folded from next batch.
I migrate across the whole bed nightly and the length never once wrapped me up like a burrito! The skirt just moves with you. Tie loosened once mid-night, minor.
The A-line means full strides even at ankle length, no shuffling to the bathroom at 3am. If long gowns usually make you feel mummified, this cut is the fix.
The deep V holds its position surprisingly well, I reached, rolled, and made breakfast without a wardrobe incident! For a neckline this ambitious thats an achievement. My only note is the shoulder split means bra straps show if you layer it for lounging.
