Slept better all week, refusing to interrogate whether its the silk or the joy!
Under the drama the silk itself is dense and warm-to-you... trim aside youre getting real fabric quality
sensitive skin, zero complaints in three weeks. the feather trim never touches skin directly which i didnt realize until wearing it, the cuffs hold it away. ivory XL drapes generous
the collar and cuffs are smooth sewn, even the trim snaps sit flat against fabric not skin.
The trousers finish a few inches above my ankle and the sleeves above my wrist. Proper little set for warm evenings. Fits true to size.
First silk purchase and I went straight for the dramatic one. No regrets, the fabric taught me the difference and the feathers taught me joy.
i packed the ivory m for our maui honeymoon because it folds small. it recieved a few creases. but they eased after hanging in the bathroom.
I wore the ivory L after wrist surgery. The cropped sleeves made dressing less awkward. The trousers were comfortable. But I needed help with the feather cuffs.
the feathers detach for washing which is the whole trick! snap them off, cold wash the silk, snap back on. i put off buying this for months assuming the trim made it unwashable, it deffinately doesnt. the silk itself washes like any good silk, ten minutes in the sink and hung to dry. feathers still full and fluffy after five rounds of this routine.
a feather section at the left cuff arrived with its anchor thread loose, two stitches from my sewing kit fixed it. at this price the cuffs should arrive battle ready.
Feather trim arriving with a loose anchor thread should have been caught before it left. Your two stitches did our job and I'd rather send you a fresh trim set than thank you for sewing, email us and we will.
The heavier weight means the ivory is fully opaque, breakfast with guests approved.
Cheap feather sets look like a bachelorette prop, but the notched collar and the silk weight keep this one on the right side of the line. Guests assume it cost more than it did.
Fuller chested, the XL buttons sit flat but only just, go up if you hesitate. Feathers photograph even better than the listing.
wrinkles like any real silk, hangs smooth overnight, feathers hide the sleeve creases anyway.
Bought for my sister, tried it on before wrapping, bought a second one for me. Certifyable household hazard.
I have hand-washed the ivory M three times, always after taking off the feather trim. The silk is still smooth and the cropped hems have not twisted. I lay it flat on a towel near an open window, and it dries by morning. The feathers go back on easily once everything is dry. It is more care than regular pajamas. Not difficult though.
im 5'0 and the cropped trousers are full length with the feather trim dragging at my ankles... hemming feathered pants is not a diy job. petite friends look elsewhere or budget for a tailor.
At 5'0 the crop math simply stops working and feathered hems can't be shortened at home, you're right. We're speccing a petite length for the next run. Full return if the tailor route isn't worth it to you.
covered buttons, piped edges, snap-off trim... the construction matches the theatrics.
Cropped sleeves kept it cool through August, the silk kept it warm enough when the AC wars began! One set covering both scenarios at this price starts to look reasonable.
feathers survived the packing cube, somehow
Second ivory set. First M lasted. Adding a second to my cart
My husband said the blush set looked pretty when we had friends over for cards. I mostly chose it for myself after long workdays. The medium is comfortable and the sleeves do not get in the way while making tea. The feather trim is the one thing I would change, too dressy for ordinary sleeping. Once I removed it, I wore the set much more often.
the bordeaux is a touch deeper in my bedroom than on screen, almost wine coloured. i prefer it that way. the medium fits me fine.
I bought the medium for my sister’s birthday. The colour was lovely. She found the cropped trousers too short for her 5'9" height.
At 5'9 cropped becomes very cropped, Carly. We should be listing the inseam so a gift is not a gamble. It is going on now.
Aniya
Cool enough, but sleeves recieved lint.
I like the ivory M. But I take off my ring before fastening the feather cuffs. A prong caught the silk near my wrist once. No hole, just a scare.
I put on the Bordeaux L after a shower on a sticky evening. It was cool right away and moved lightly when I walked to the kitchen. The collar keeps the top from feeling too costume-like... which I appreciated. The cropped trousers landed just above my ankle. I took the feathers off before bed and liked it even more that way. I’ll be back for more.
Arrived in a flat box with tissue around the feather trims. Two fold marks in the trousers dropped out overnight on a hanger, and the cuff feathers were not crushed, which I had worried about. The medium was ready to wear the next evening.
i 142 lb, and the medium has a loose, easy fit through my shoulders and hips. i expected it to sit closer from the photos. it is more relaxed than that. the cropped leg hits above my ankle and the jacket covers my waist. i wore it on a saturday morning with the feather cuffs removed, then put them back on for drinks at home. didnt feel restricted once. buy two if you like it, you will want the spare.
