Before You Order

Questions, answered

Which size should I take?
Our sleepwear is cut to drape, not cling. Between sizes? Take the larger one — the silhouette rewards a little room.
How do I care for it?
Hand wash cool with a gentle detergent — or a lingerie bag on a delicate cycle — then reshape while damp and keep it away from the dryer. Silk rewards the extra minute.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are packed within 1–2 business days and usually reach you within 9–14 days, tracked the whole way. Over $89, shipping is on us; under that it’s $10 (Australia $13).
How is my order packaged?
Plainly, on purpose — a simple unbranded parcel with nothing printed on the outside. What’s inside stays between us.
What if it doesn’t fit?
You have 30 days from delivery. Unworn, unwashed, tags on. There’s no prepaid label — you post it back to our New Zealand address at your own cost (if the mistake was ours, we cover it). Don’t want to post it back? Write to aniya@darette.com and we can usually agree a partial refund instead.
Anything extra with my order?
Orders over $50 include a complimentary gift — upgraded at $100, $150 and $200 — added automatically at checkout. No code needed.

The warmth argument

Satin stays room temperature, this becomes your temperature! If that sentence means nothing, you havent worn real silk yet.

Easy

washes like a hankie, proper luxe.

You feel the $98 immediately

I'm 5'3 and curvy, the bias cut skims instead of clinging, and the weight of the fabric is the first thing your hands notice out of the box. XL fits with drape to spare.

tougher than it looks, ordered before a beach week and wore it hard.

Nice

bought it to celebrate the new job, the pleated front makes it deffinately the prettiest thing i sleep in. wish the m was a touch longer.

Hardware audit

Metal sliders, rolled hem, pleats sewn evenly. The strap elastic has slightly more give than I expected at this price, watching it.

the pleated v is the whole reason to pick this one over the plainer slips. the gathers give the chest actual shape without a single wire or pad, it drapes open exactly enough and never further, and because its all silk theres nothing to scratch. i sleep on my stomach half the night which murders lace necklines, this one has nothing to catch or fold. wore it a full week straight, washed it sunday, back on monday. the blush color with the low back is the most flattering thing i own and it cost less than my sneakers. m fits true with room through the hip from the bias cut.

It moves a half second behind you

The bias cut is real, the skirt swings when I turn and settles slow like something in a film! Im 5'4 and it hits mid thigh exactly as the photos suggest. Wearing it makes ordinary hallway walks feel choreographed.

Love it

same slip, cool in july and fine in the drafty months, thats the whole pitch and its true

no stick summer

ran through a heat wave without the slip gluing itself to my back, cheap satin never once managed that.

G

Pleats not lace, no itch possible

The V is gathered silk, no lace to negotiate with! Smooth against the sternum, reckon its the safest pick for the texture sensitive.

First silk, right door

Entry level price this is not, entry level regret this is also not

Satin divorce finalized

the difference is not subtle 🖤.

creme runs warmer

leans champagne in person, not the cool cream on screen. prettier imo.

Sleep report

Fall asleep faster in it, might be the fabric, might be the ritual of it, either way it works. If your sleep is broken try the boring fixes first, then this one.

Eh

The listing photos have a liquid shine the real slip only shows under direct light, day to day it reads more matte. Still lovely, expectations were just set higher.

The listing shots were lit to show the sheen and daily light is more honest than our photographer was. Matte with occasional shine is the true description and the reshoot is scheduled.

Suitcase veteran

Two trips, five hotels, still flawless. Rolls small, shakes out smooth, the tight weave shrugs off creasing better than my other silk.

Wear log, month two

Nightly rotation, hand washed weekly, the faintest fuzz at the seat where I sit cross-legged. Nothing anyone but me would find.

no digging at the waist

i am four months postpartum and wanted something that did not leave a mark on my middle by breakfast. the large skims instead of squeezing, and the low back is still comfortable when i am carrying the baby around at 2 a.m. it is not shapewear... thankfully. the hem lands high on my thigh, which is what i expected from the photos.

Maintenance demystified

Cold sink wash, ten minutes, dry by dinner. The fear of silk care is worse than silk care.

Love it

I bought the ivory one last spring and wore it every week through August. This year I added noir in L. The first slip still looks good after careful hand washes, and I wanted a darker option for travel. Didnt expect the cut to be so short, but it is comfortable to sleep in.

Out of the bedroom

Wore it with a long cardigan and boots to a gallery opening, if you style the low back right it reads as a designer slip dress. Sleepwear is a suggestion, not a law.

Good

babied it week one, machine bag since, still perfect... your call

Cool at midnight

I get warm at night and this helped more than my cotton nightshirt. The fabric is cool, sooo I reach for it even when the room is 75 degrees

K

the density is the difference

held my old $40 slip and this side by side, same idea, completly different animal. this one has weight, falls straight, and the pleats hold their shape after washing. the money is in the fabric and you can feel exactly where it went. blush is perfect with the low back.

Good after surgery

I packed this for recovery after a minor procedure because I did not want a waistband pressing on my stomach. The medium slipped on easily and the loose shape was comfortable in bed. I could manage the straps without raising my arms much. It is short, so I wore a robe when the nurse came in. Hand washing is the only reason it is four stars for me.

Fuller busted, sized up to L before our trip, the pleats took the extra room gracefully. Between sizes with a chest, go up.

Better in person

Cool to the touch straight from the parcel, with that soft, slightly weighty feel of real silk. Mine is the medium in ivory.

straps behave

i tightened the straps once. the medium fits me without pulling at the chest, and it stayed put when i rolled over in bed. no readjusting in the morning. if you have a bigger bust go up one.
