Will it tarnish?
Not if it stays dry. Perfume, water and sweat are what wear a finish down — so it goes on last and comes off first.
Is it heavy?
No. Crocheted wire is mostly air. The exact grams are in Size & weight below — most pieces weigh less than a AA battery.
Will mine look like the photos?
Recognisably — and slightly its own. Each piece is crocheted by hand in small runs, so no two are identical.

Care
Last on, first off. On after perfume and lotion, off before water and before bed.
Stored flat, in its box. Crocheted wire keeps its shape unless it is crushed — one piece per box, not loose in a pouch.
Enamel and plating both dislike knocks and perfume: last on, first off, stored apart. Wipe with a soft cloth. Treat it like something you plan to keep.

How it’s made
Enamel, dipped
One half of the hoop is dipped in coloured enamel and cured; the other half stays bright gold. The finish is glossy and solid — it chips only if it is knocked hard, so store the pair apart.
Plated, honestly
Our jewellery is brass or copper under the finish — palladium-white, 18K gold-plated, or silver-tone — with 925 sterling silver posts on every earring. Kept dry and away from perfume, the colour keeps. Worn in the shower, it won’t. Last on, first off.

Every piece arrives in a grey velvet Darette box — ready to keep on the dressing table, or to give. Inside a plain, unbranded parcel.

Will the colour fade?
Not if you keep it dry. It’s plated brass or copper wire — perfume, water and sweat are what wear a finish down. Put it on last, take it off first, and it keeps its colour for years.
Are the posts hypoallergenic?
The posts are 925 sterling silver, which most sensitive ears tolerate well. The decorative part is plated brass or copper wire and doesn’t touch the piercing.
Is every piece identical?
No — hand-crocheted wire, natural shell and baroque pearls all vary a little. Yours will be recognisably the piece in the photos, and slightly its own.
How do I care for it?
Keep it dry, store it flat in its box so wire and petals aren’t crushed, and wipe shell or enamel with a soft cloth. No water, no polish, no perfume on it.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are packed within 2–3 business days and usually reach you in 10–12, tracked the whole way. Over $100, shipping is on us.
How is my order packaged?
Plainly, on purpose — a simple unbranded parcel with nothing printed on the outside. What’s inside stays between us.
What if I change my mind?
You have 30 days from delivery to return or exchange — unworn, unwashed, tags on. Write to aniya@darette.com and we’ll sort it together.
