paid the selfie tax. slip is below the knee on me which i wanted, robe hits lower. the whole set came rolled in tissue like a present!
robe on, one shoulder off, the intended way. mauve looks better on warm skin tones than the site suggests
mauve set laid out before first wear. the slip and robe are cut from the same cloth so the colors actually match, which was not true of the last set i bought elsewhere
the mauve reads dusty lilac in daylight. hung it up for the photo, wearing it as i type.
both pieces on the hanger. i bought it for the slip, but the robe alone would sell for this price honestly.
hung it on the door to admire the back tie situation before wearing it. the little ribbon details are everywhere once you start looking.
slip, robe, belt. the belt matters more than you think, it turns the robe from bathrobe to dressing gown. sat in my doorway wearing all three and felt complete
evening photo, lamp light. this is the ivory. it glows warm at night and looks paler in the day, both are good.
wearing the ivory in my plant corner, my happiest place. the robe sleeves are wide but not comically wide, they stay out of the watering can.
Close up of the lace crisscross at the waist because that is what you are paying for. It is sheer there, the rest of the slip is not. Wore the robe over it all evening.
detail photo of the cups and ribbon lacing. everything is finished inside, no raw edges against skin
too hot for the robe this week so just the slip. my cat is in the photo because she is always in the photo!!. the L skims instead of clings which is what my hips wanted
Mirror check the night it arrived. The slip is fitted at the underbust like they say and the robe throws over everything. Face hidden because bedtime me is not for the internet.
the medium fits, mirror selfie for scale, im 5'6 and the slip hits below the knee. everything matches the listing photos, no surprises good or bad.
robe half off is how it actually gets worn, but you didnt hear that from me. the satin doesnt stick to skin in summer
the black set in daylight. the keyhole at the waist is subtler in the noir which i prefer, reads elegant not risque
photo of the cups fresh out of the box. the pads sit in little pockets so they lift out flat and go back in flat, no origami.
bought ivory for my wedding morning, the getting ready part just got a serious upgrade!
I forgot to take the pads out before hand washing and they wrinkled inside the pockets. Took some flattening to fix. My fault half of it, but pockets that close would prevent this entirely.
Prudence, pads out before the sink is the rule with this one, but you are right that a closed pocket would forgive the forgetting. Noted for the wishlist. Flat under a heavy book overnight usually resets them completely.
the mauve robe over jeans and a white tee is a look, dont ask how i know...
fits true, washed fine, robe is the star
The waist keyhole and the upper cup lace are see through, more than i registered from the photos. I love it now but if you are buying for lounging around family, thats the robe's job.
Edwina, fair reading. The sheer waist is the design's one bold move and the robe exists exactly for the family-breakfast version of you. Glad it grew on you before the returns window did its thing.
second darette set, both keepers. recommend the ivory.
